Sean Bertalot
MS Student
BS, Environmental Sciences, University of Wisconsin-Madison
Sean joined the lab in June of 2023 as a member of the WY-ACT project. Broadly interested in aquatic ecology, Sean's research focuses on understanding spatial patterns of metabolism and primary productivity within Jackson Lake (located in Grand Teton National Park). He is particularly interested in exploring how different sampling technologies -buoys, satellites, and the FLAMe- can help improve our understanding of aquatic systems. Outside of research, he enjoys activities that get him outdoors year-round, including skiing, trail running, hiking, and fishing.
