Linnea Rock
PhD Student

MS, Center for Limnology, University of Wisconsin-Madison
BS, Biology, University of Wisconsin-Madison

Linnea was born and raised in rural New Hampshire and spent a majority of her life outdoors. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin in 2015, and later returned for a Master’s degree. As a MS student, she researched chloride loading in the Upper Yahara River Watershed.

Linnea spent the years between her undergraduate and master’s program working in education at the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and volunteering for an environmental non-profit and for Wisconsin Public Radio. Her favorite activities include skiing, camping, canoeing, cooking/baking/eating, and reading. She loves every season and finding reasons to enjoy outdoor activities with family and friends.
